This marinade recipe has been a staple in my kitchen, passed down from my mother herself!
The thing I love most about this is throwing it all in a dish in the morning before work and grilling it for a few minutes after work. I'm currently in full fledge tax season at work so this recipe worked out perfect.
For a visual/ hands-on demonstration of how I prepared this recipe, you can follow and check out Bloom Outdoors on Tik-Tok.
Ingredients:
2 lbs. wildgame steak
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. liquid smoke
Directions:
In a large, flat, shallow container, combine olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic powder, minced garlic, and liquid smoke.
Then tenderize both sides of the steak using a meat tenderizer. Additionally, make shallow cuts on both sides to enhance flavor.
Add the wild game steak to the marinade, ensuring it's fully coated. Cover the container and refrigerate for 12-24 hours, allowing the flavors to infuse into the meat.
After 6-12 hours of marinating, flip the steaks and spoon the marinade over the top. Return the container to the refrigerator.
Preheat the grill to a medium-high temperature (about 450-475°F).
Place the marinated steaks on the preheated grill and cook for approximately 5 minutes on each side, or until desired level of doneness is reached.
Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and allow them to rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Serve hot and enjoy the tender, flavorful wild game steak.
