Opening Day Buck
𝙽𝚘𝚝𝚌𝚑𝚒𝚗’ 𝚝𝚊𝚐𝚜 & 𝚏𝚒𝚕𝚕𝚒𝚗’ 𝚏𝚛𝚎𝚎𝚣𝚎𝚛𝚜🦌🥩🔪 Super stoked to have broke my buck fever and on opening day of rifle! I’ve never done that before. I was watching a stud of a six point that I passed on when all of a sudden I seen this fella behind him. Didn’t even check the binos, grabbed my rifle and followed him through the scope for about 10 minutes. He was standing behind a tree forever and I didn’t want to miss my opportunity so I moved myself to where I could get a great shot off and I SMOKED HIM. He dropped right then and there! Today I completed three firsts: 1. First time shooting a buck sitting solo. 2. First time brining a buck to a buck pole. 3. First time shooting a deer on opening day. What a good day to be a hunter!!

All the starfish came up to shore during the high tides throughout the day and got caught up there when low tide came in. While looking for beach glass I would pick them up and place them back in the water.

Of course I had to start small for my first time fishing in Alaska. Casting off shore and catching fish like this flounder and Irish lord was a lot of fun.

The fish a lot of people call Nemo but no its name is a yelloweye rockfish.

My first ever halibut caught! They aren’t kidding with the signs that say, “ halibut fishing capital of the world.” Everywhere you look fishing charters are heading out or coming in from the water.

The hardest fighter of the fishing trip. I thought I was snagged on the bottom for sure! Or at least had a giant fish on the line. But no it was this nice sized rockfish.

Only 30% of travelers get the experience to see the full breathtaking view of Mt. Mckinley due to it being so cloudy or hazy because it's the highest mountain peak in North America. Luckily we went early enough in the morning to see the most beautiful view of it!
Anchorage, AK
Amazed of the miraculous views I laugh as I remember I am the one in control of the bush plane. Never did I think steering a plane would be crossed off my bucket list. It is a whole different world from a birds point of view.
