Correct me if I'm wrong... there's no better feeling than sleeping in on a Sunday after a long weekend and making some homemade biscuits and gravy for brunch! I'm not sure about y'all, but there is a huge difference between buying the gravy packet from the store and making your own. This easy ground venison recipe is rich and delicious.
Ingredients:
1/2 lb. ground venison
1/3 cup flour
2 tbsp. butter
2 cups of milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cracked pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 pack of your favorite biscuits
Directions:
In a large skillet, add ground venison and cook until fully cooked through. (While venison is cooking bake your biscuits because this is a fast recipe).
Add flour and butter and stir to combine.
Once the venison has a coating of flour, slowly add in milk. I found it best to do 1 cup at a time.
Add salt, pepper and garlic powder and stir together.
Reduce heat to a slow simmer, stirring frequently. Continue this until it thickens to your liking.
Taste and serve over biscuits!
